For beginners
Small brush pens
Tombow Fudenosuke and Pentel Touch brush pens are perfect for beginners, offering excellent control with a firm tip. They're also durable enough to handle rougher paper without fraying as much.
Smooth surfaces
Paper & notepads
Smooth paper is key to extending the life of your brush pens. My go-to options: HP Premium printer paper when I'm printing worksheets or lettering without guidelines, and Rhodia dot grid paper for general practice and everything in between.
